Ever since the Beach Boys’”Pet Sounds”, all musicians are obsessed with the perfect pop album. In 2010, southern France Gomina started their quest for the new holy grail of pop music, armed with their rich influences and a Technicolor universe.
With “Prints” (spring 2015), Gomina reaffirm their deep love for keyboards and synthesizers and set themselves as the French challenger to the Anglo-Saxon neo-psychedelic scene (Tame Impala, MGMT, Beach House…) Too bold for imitations and revivals, Gomina are distinguished by their art of songwriting, always preserving a pleasant originality. Creating a small laboratory of pop, easiness is taboo in their compositions. The road to perfection must include as many detours as sound experiences.
